Ms. Tanvi Parekh

Tanvi Parekh is a contemporary Indian pointillism and mandala artist based in Pune, Maharashtra. Born and raised in Vadodara, Gujarat—widely known as the cultural and artistic heart of the state—her artistic journey is deeply rooted in the intersection of art, spirituality, healing, and human consciousness.

Medi Art Studios – a confluence of medicine & art.

We intend to build a vibrant community of medical professionals with an interest in art. We will provide meaningful artwork -aesthetic & aligned to science to adorn medical spaces.
Mission

Medi Art Studios is showcasing artworks of doctors & artists, connecting the dots & developing creative artwork for clinics, hospitals & medical events.

We will liven up medical spaces with original, customized, thematic artworks, photographs, murals & products, offering consult on selection & display.

We plan to hold mutually benefitting art events involving doctors, artists & charities for a widened outreach into the society.

Painting of the Month

The Doctor by Luke Fildes (1891)

Death of his one-year-old son, Philip, from typhoid fever on Christmas morning, compelled Fildes to paint a picture revolving around the compassionate Dr. Murray visiting his dying child, in his humble cottage.
The work is considered one of the most famous depictions of the practice of medicine and has been described as "iconic" and has often been used to illustrate the virtues of a good doctor Fildes' skilful use of light and perspective focuses the eye on the doctor & the patient. The parents are in the shadows, helpless. It is notable that the stethoscope, thermometer, and other advances of medical science are nowhere to be seen. Fildes seemed more intent on focusing our attention on the art than the science of medicine. Medicine is thus reduced to ancient fundamentals: Observation and presence.
