Tanvi Parekh is a contemporary Indian pointillism and mandala artist based in Pune,
Maharashtra. Born and raised in Vadodara, Gujarat—widely known as the cultural and
artistic heart of the state—her artistic journey is deeply rooted in the
intersection of art,
spirituality, healing, and human consciousness.
She holds a Master’s degree from The Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda and has
an
extensive academic and professional background in human development, women and child
welfare, health, and community outreach. Over the years, she has worked with
organizations
including UNICEF, UNFPA, and Population Council, conducting research and
intervention
programs focused on social well-being and emotional health. These experiences
profoundly
shaped her understanding of human emotions, inner healing, and the transformative
role of
creativity.
Working primarily in intricate pointillism and mandala-inspired techniques, Tanvi
creates
artworks composed of thousands of meticulously hand-painted dots. Her visual
language
combines contemporary aesthetics with sacred geometry, meditative repetition,
traditional
motifs, and symbolic color theory. Through this layered process, her works become
both
contemplative experiences and visual narratives that explore the unseen connections
between
the body, mind, energy, and the cosmos.
A defining aspect of her practice is the spiritual intention embedded within the
making of
each artwork. While painting every dot, she chants “OM,” the universal cosmic sound
believed to symbolize creation, consciousness, and unity. This meditative process
transforms
her paintings into immersive spaces of calmness, positivity, and introspection. Her
work
draws inspiration from concepts of cosmic energy, chakras, healing frequencies, and
mandalas as symbolic representations of harmony and the universe.
Tanvi’s artistic exploration also extends into sacred geometry and healing mandalas,
inspired
by Hindu and Buddhist traditions where mandalas function as symbols of meditation,
spiritual balance, and inner awakening. Through vibrant color palettes and rhythmic
patterns,
she invites viewers to pause, reflect, and reconnect with their inner worlds.
Her works have been exhibited at prestigious galleries and are part of private
collections in
India and internationally. A significant milestone in her artistic journey was the
inclusion of
one of her handcrafted pointillism artworks in the Rashtrapati Bhavan Museum,
selected by
the Honourable President of India, Smt. Droupadi Murmu—an honour that recognizes
both
artistic excellence and cultural significance.
Beyond her studio practice, Tanvi is the founder of “Tanu’s ARTh Art Academy,” an
initiative dedicated to promoting inclusive creativity and artistic exploration for
individuals
across all age groups. As a certified art and movement therapy practitioner, she
strongly
believes in art as a powerful medium for healing, self-discovery, emotional
expression, and
human connection.
For her, art is not merely visual expression—it is a meditative practice and a journey inward.
Through millions of carefully placed dots, layered patterns, and spiritual
symbolism, she
creates immersive works that radiate rhythm, stillness, positivity, and wonder,
encouraging
viewers to discover beauty and meaning within themselves.
